Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5T Sweeper Driver to join a busy operational team in Charnwood. This is a hands-on role involving the driving and operation of specialist street sweeping vehicles to maintain cleanliness across public areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate specialised street sweeping machinery
  • Sweep designated road channels, footways, and public areas
  • Remove debris, leaves, litter, and other waste
  • Carry out bulky waste collections in line with contract requirements and specifications
  • Lead a round to ensure the safe and efficient completion of daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with fleet requirements, including accurately recording working hours, vehicle defects, and other compliance documentation
  • Maintain all relevant licences and qualifications required for the role

What We're Looking For

  • Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement (7.5T)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • Willingness to undertake further training as required
  • Responsible for maintaining a valid driving licence and notifying of any changes (e.g. revocation)
