We are looking for a temporary 3.5 Tonne driver to drive a 5 metre flat bed van in and around Worthing, West Sussex.
Pay: £12.71 per hour - Paid weekly on Fridays + Holiday pay paid on accrued hours
Hours: 8am to 4.30pm
The main duties will include delivering various products to residential and commercial customers locally. Loading and delivering building materials to a small number of clients throughout the day. Items such as wall panels, fascias, guttering, cladding, decking, windows and doors.
A good knowledge of the Worthing and surrounding areas is essential for this position. Excellent customer service skills, flexible attitude, and enthusiasm with a positive attitude are required.
Other duties include helping out in the branch in-between deliveries or when waiting for the next driving assignment. Manually loading and unloading stock accurately, helping out in the warehouse, or dealing with customers face to face in branch.
Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Some heavy lifting may be required at times, but the majority of products are light in weight.
Initially employed on a temporary basis, this role could develop into a permanent position for the right candidate in the future. Must have a full driver’s licence and a positive attitude, as well as being a good communicator since the candidate will be corresponding with customers.
Smart casual dress code, safety footwear, and a high visibility vest or jacket must be worn at all times (provided by the client).
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm - 7 hrs per day. On occasions, your finish time might run over due to delivery times.
