United Careers are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to work for our client based in Halsted, Essex who specialise in the distribution of Timber products.
Purpose of the role
The role of a driver within their company is to ensure their roof truss and joist products are delivered to their customers in a safe and timely manner. This includes overseeing the loading and unloading of goods along with promoting their brand and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely transporting goods to their customers
- Overseeing the loading and offloading of goods
- Obeying the rules of the road and following company safety regulations
- Inspection of the vehicles and cleaning
- Maintaining a good relationship with the customers
- Following accident procedures and reporting
- Finding the quickest and safest route to your destination
Other responsibilities
- To ensure you are working hard and to the best of your capabilities at all times
- Deliveries are made on time and in a safe manner at all times, whilst ensuring all driving legislations and company procedures are adhered to
- Health and safety is followed on site and at company branches
- Good communication, timekeeping and reliability
- Ensuring customer satisfaction whilst delivering
Hours: Monday-Friday 06:00-16:30 with O/T available
Pay: £32,500 pa
Job Type: Temp to Perm. Probation via agency for 16 weeks, paid weekly
