CIS Security are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Security Supervisor to join our team at one of London\’s most prestigious destinations. This unique site is comprised of three striking buildings connected by a landscaped public realm, offering views and a vibrant atmosphere for businesses, visitors, and the local community. Our team\’s mission is clear: to safeguard the site, ensuring the safety, security, and wellbeing of all visitors, while protecting property, members, and guests against damage or theft in line with established site procedures.

  • Position: Security Supervisor
  • Location: London (SW1W)
  • Pay Rate: £14.75 per hour
  • Hours: Average 56 hours per week
  • Shifts: 6 On 3 Off – Days & Nights

Requirements

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence required
  • Team Leader or Supervisor experience in the corporate sector is required
  • IT and man management skills required
  • Willingness to learn and work with a team
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Reliable, responsible and punctual
  • Smart appearance befitting the company
  • Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Calm under pressure with the presence of mind to defuse difficult situations
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as on your own
  • CCTV & First Aid qualifications are desirable

Responsibilities

  • Deploy the security team to maintain a satisfactory security presence on site as required by the customer
  • Maintain the highest standards of customer care when dealing with staff and visitors
  • Ensure all security personnel adhere to duties, policies and procedures and report breaches to the security manager
  • Assist the Site Manager in all areas of responsibility and maintain a close working relationship
  • Understand the site specification and monitor activities to ensure they are current and in line with customer expectations
  • Maintain confidentiality and a good reputation with the customer
  • Respond to customer communication in a professional and timely manner
  • Supervise the team to ensure officers follow site procedures in line with customer requirements
  • Check handover at the beginning of the shift to ensure vital details are carried out
  • Make informed decisions under pressure
  • Liaise with external authorities and services as required and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Maintain the daily occurrence book and complete relevant reports
  • Ensure staff wear correct uniform and PPE and are regularly briefed
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents including fire and intruder alarms and assist in evacuations where necessary
  • Maintain morale and discipline within the team
  • Identify training needs for staff and feed back to line management
  • Proactively increase the services offered to customers
  • Complete appropriate training documentation and records
  • Reference and update assignment instructions for site changes; ensure all duties are understood and signed as read
  • Set and maintain high personal and professional standards and adopt a total quality approach
  • Monitor staff discipline, standards and conduct
  • Conduct regular performance monitoring and annual appraisals in line with company policy
  • Audit site equipment and maintain site paperwork
  • Attend required meetings with the customer and line management to support quality service delivery
  • Submit timesheets, holiday and sickness forms within deadlines
  • Coordinate with the team on changing contract requirements
  • Carry out reasonable requests from CIS management
  • Flexible approach to daily duties
