Join to apply for the Security Supervisor role at United Builders Service, Inc. The Supervisor will support the Management Team in delivering the smooth and efficient running of the Security Service at a prestigious riverside destination in the heart of London Bridge. We are seeking high calibre SIA Licensed Security Personnel to join our team. The roles are diverse, busy, and vibrant in line with the nature of the destination.
Position Details
- Position: Security Supervisor
- Location: London Bridge
- Pay Rate: Β£16.21 per hour
- Hours: Average 56 hours per week
- Shifts: 7 on 3 off, 7 on 4 off (including Days & Nights)
Qualifications
- SIA Licence required
- SIA CCTV is a bonus
- Experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor of at least 2 years
- Experience working in demanding, high-pressure sites
- Clear understanding of and outstanding customer service skills
- Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative, team player, reliable, trustworthy, and able to act as a role model
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Timegate system (advantage)
- Ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
- Physically able to perform duties
- Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Level 3 management qualification (or willingness to work towards) β IOSH Managing Safety in the Workplace
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage the security team to maintain a satisfactory security presence on site
- Ensure all security personnel adhere to site duties, policies, and procedures; report breaches promptly
- Communicate effectively at all levels and maintain central standards/reporting to the security control room
- Record all incidents; conduct investigations and report findings to a high standard
- Oversee staff standards and training; ensure refresher training every 6 months and fire-awareness training as directed
- Monitor and report on the central training matrix for the wider contract
- Deliver outstanding customer service and assist in operational planning and resource deployment for projects/events
- Respond to incidents and drive resolution to client and management satisfaction
- Identify and drive innovation across the contract; empower the estate team to report defects
- Promote company values and perform other reasonable client/site management requests
Operations
- Report daily to Deputy Operations Managers and ensure effective communication of security delivery
- Liaise with zone supervisors to ensure area coverage and resolve overlaps
- Assist in planning and delivering external events
- Build relationships with retailers and ensure staff are trained in CCTV, Fire, and Security systems
- Manage equipment, report defects, and support incident management as defined by the client
- Ensure non-conformities are registered, actioned, and closed within agreed timeframes
- Maintain staff morale and discipline; ensure safe working conditions
- Monitor and deliver appropriate training per contract requirements
