A bubbly, welcoming personality is required for this new Front of House Officer position, responsible for ensuring that tenants, customers, and guests receive a first‑class experience when visiting our prominent commercial site opposite Reading Station.
Job Information
- Position: Front of House Officer
- Location: Reading
- Pay Rate: £14.20 per hour
- Hours: 60 hours per week
- Shifts: Monday to Friday – Day shift
Job Requirements
- SIA licence required
- Experience in high‑end corporate front of house or concierge services
- IT literate: basic understanding of access control systems and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with visitor management systems is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service attitude
- Reliable, responsible, punctual, and professional appearance
- Friendly, courteous, and outgoing character
- Flexible approach to daily duties and additional events on site
- Able to undertake 100% of all specific duties
- Provide all required documentation and vetting information
Job Responsibilities
- Meet and greet visitors, patrol areas, and handle reception duties
- Access control and answer incoming telephone calls
- Conduct emergency procedures and provide warm, 5‑star greetings
- Deliver high‑quality guarding and customer service to users
- Work independently or as part of a team, using initiative and thinking on your feet
- Handle confrontational situations calmly and professionally
- Ensure efficient reception, concierge, or booking desks with required professionalism
- Check guests in and out promptly
- Maintain teamwork across departments and provide solutions where possible
- Keep allocated area clean, organised, and ready for the next shift
- Assist with any other reasonable duties as required
- Stand for extended periods of time as needed
