This is an exciting opportunity to join the opening team of a brand-new Koncept Coffee store in Kentish Town and help shape the standards and culture from day one. Perfect for someone who wants to grow with a new specialty coffee brand.

We’re looking for a confident Senior Barista who can run bar independently, deliver exceptional coffee every shift, and help set the standard for the rest of the team. This is not an entry-level role. You must be comfortable working fast, clean, and consistently in a busy specialty coffee environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare high-quality espresso drinks to house standards
  • Dial in grinders and maintain extraction consistency (24–28 seconds)
  • Steam milk correctly for all drink types (latte, flat white, cappuccino)
  • Work confidently across bar, till, food prep and floor
  • Maintain speed and workflow during peak service (200–300 coffees/day)
  • Deliver warm, professional customer service
  • Support opening & closing procedures
  • Keep workstation, equipment and shop floor spotless
  • Flag stock or equipment issues before they become problems

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2+ years experience as a barista in a busy café or specialty coffee shop
  • Confident using La Marzocco machines & Mahlkönig grinders
  • Can work independently without supervision
  • Strong knowledge of espresso, milk texturing & drink consistency
  • Fast, organised and calm under pressure
  • Friendly, professional and reliable
  • Available for early starts (6:30am) and weekends

Bonus (Not Essential)

  • Experience training junior baristas
  • Interest in coffee origins & flavour profiles
  • Upselling retail beans or specials
  • Social media / content capture
