The Role

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our engineering team.

You will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance, ensuring production runs efficiently and safely. The engineering team is central to our operation, supporting business growth through continuous improvement and effective maintenance delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to site equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults (primary focus) and mechanical issues
  • Perform electrical fault finding, inspections and improvements
  • Maintain plant reliability and minimise downtime
  • Complete PPM schedules and engineering documentation accurately
  • Support continuous improvement and capital projects
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and permit-to-work systems
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to improve performance
  • Monitor equipment condition and report defects proactively

What We’re Looking For

â Essential:

  • Qualified Engineer (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
  • Strong electrical knowledge and fault-finding skills
  • Experience working with PLC systems, electrical components, and production machinery
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills

â Desirable:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, or steam systems
