UNITECH MACHINERY LTD – VACANCY – GENERAL OPERATIVE – RAF-4256 Unitech Machinery Ltd is one of the country's leading manufacturers of industrial ovens, spray booths and industrial packaging machinery primarily for the automotive and aerospace industries. An excellent and varied opportunity has arisen to recruit for a General Operative to complement our existing team. Role Overview: Reporting to the Supervisor, your role will be to carry out general labouring and assisting the Saw, Welding and Sheet Metal Departments within the business. Main duties will include: Assisting skilled operatives on assembling products and sheet metal work machinery, i.e. brake press and guillotines. Using various hand and pneumatic tools to carry out day to day tasks. Learn how to read and interpret engineering drawings. Ensure areas are kept clean and tidy and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times. Assist with any other task as required in line with business needs and as required within your skill set and experience. Skills & Experience Required: Previous fitting and assembly experience would be an advantage but not essential. Ability to work within a team or on your own. Experience of working on a shop-floor environment. Posses a good understanding of engineering drawings experience would be an advantage but not essential. Ability to multi-task and be flexible Being able to use your own initiative to solve problems. Have an attention to detail and quality. Posses a ‘can do' attitude. Having a fork lift licence and any other manufacturing/fabrication skills qualifications would be an advantage.
