Unitech Engineering Ltd is the leading supplier of high-quality stainless steel and aluminium equipment for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other hygiene conscious industries. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Technical Writer / Author to join our team. This role would also suit somebody who has previously worked as a manual writer.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for providing an all-round technical administration support service. Main duties will include:
- Working alongside the Design and Production Departments with the responsibility to compose Technical Manuals for Conveying and Washing Systems.
- Responsible for the upkeep/update of the existing Standard Product Manuals.
- Responsible for the writing and construction of New Technical manuals for bespoke products.
- The photographing of specific components/features for inclusion.
- Ensuring that all documentation adheres to the high levels of accuracy, professionalism, and Company standards.
- Produce project specific operations and maintenance manuals for Engineering and Washing Systems, liaising with design and electrical teams.
- Overall review to be by the Design Managers and design Engineers.
- Update site labour plan weekly.
- Data entry onto excel spreadsheet.
