Unitech Engineering Ltd is the leading supplier of high-quality stainless steel and aluminium equipment for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other hygiene conscious industries. An excellent and varied opportunity has arisen to recruit for a Personal Assistant to the Managing Director to complement our existing team. The Unitech Group consists of 15 independently run companies across the UK, being part of such a diverse group makes this role extremely exciting and ideal for someone who thrives on a challenge and variety.

Role Overview:

Based in Burntwood, Staffordshire, your role will involve supporting the Managing Director on a day-to-day basis with all secretarial duties from extensive diary management, arranging travel and accommodation and managing confidential correspondence. This role also requires the successful candidate to assist other Directors and Senior Management as and when required with taking minutes of meetings and organising events. Hours of work are Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 17:00 pm, with the expectation to work a reasonable amount of overtime/additional hours as and when required.

Main PA duties will include:

  • Taking minutes at regular management and production meetings.
  • Deal with incoming email, faxes and post, corresponding on behalf of the Managing Director.
  • Compile and distribute emails, many using dictation.
  • Screen phone calls, enquiries and requests and handle them when appropriate.
  • Deal with highest level blue chip customers on behalf of the Managing Director.
  • Manage the use of the Company credit card.
  • Access to Company Maximizer sales database.
  • Sending out quotations.
  • Deal with confidential correspondence.
  • Liaise with group companies and professional external bodies.
  • Assist with any other administration tasks as required and within your skill set.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Must possess a minimum of 5 year’s experience working in a similar position.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programmes especially Word and Excel with PowerPoint an advantage.
  • Experience of using Maximizer and/or other similar databases desirable.
  • Experience of updated Company websites desirable.
  • Be able to multitask and work to strict deadlines.
  • Possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Be able to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to work equally well in either a team or lone working environment.
  • Must be quality driven with attention to detail being paramount in everything achieved.
  • Must hold a UK driving licence that meets our insurance requirements.

What we offer in return:

  • Dependent on skills and experience this role offers a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
  • Full time, permanent contract.
  • 33 days holiday.
  • Access to a contributory company pension scheme, employer contribution of 3%.
