If so, Unitech Engineering Ltd based in Burntwood Staffordshire are looking for an experienced Group HR Manager, to manage and lead the HR function to provide full professional efficient support across the Unitech Industries Group. The group currently consists of 15 independently run companies across the UK with a headcount total of 408 employees.
This position will be based at the Groups Headquarters Unitech Engineering Ltd, who are a leading supplier of high-quality stainless steel and aluminium equipment for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical and other hygiene conscious industries. If you are able to demonstrate that you have the required skills and experience that this role needs, we are certainly interested in hearing from you: - Role Overview: Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director and responsible for the Group HR Assistant, the core purpose of this role is to deliver the HR and people strategy for the group in line with its values and principles. Including the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the group's business plans. Other key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
Write all HR policy and processes to ensure legal compliance. Implement all policy and processes through management briefing and coaching. Provide employee relations advice and guidance and utilise best practice to resolve issues. Ensure the company is conversant and compliant with all UK employment legislations. Manage complex employee relations, especially in difficult and unpopular circumstances. Performance Management, including supporting, advising and coaching managers on managing their team performance, resource management and conflict management. Coach and support managers with disciplinary and grievance issues. Support the development of management and staff to broaden knowledge and skills. Manage staff handbook and keep staff up to date with any updates within it. Design the annual performance management process. Review the salary structure and all reward schemes including insurances and benefits. Help create a culture of recognition for achievement, advise on bonus structures. Provide support for the payroll process (In house). Identify areas that require improvement and make recommendations to the Board of Directors and Senior Management team. Devise programmes to support improvement. Manage succession planning. Advise and support all managers on recruitment, assessment and selection processes. Provide recruitment support, including placing job adverts and attending interviews as and when required. Prepare offer letters, contracts of employment and associated paperwork. Co-ordinate new starter arrangements including taking references, notifying departments of new starters and ensuring induction plans are in place. Manage all resourcing activity within the group to ensure a standard and corporate approach. Devise on boarding programmes for all new group employees. Identify training and development opportunities for the group.
Skills and experience required:
In order to be considered for this role the successful candidate must be CIPD qualified and have at least 3 years HR Management experience. Excellent employment law background. Strong knowledge of employment issues including (absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes). Must hold a UK driving licence that meets our insurance requirements. Must be flexible to travel to any sites within the Group in the UK. Be able to multitask and work to strict deadlines. Possess excellent organisational and communication skills. Be able to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality at all times. Ability to work equally well in either a team or lone working environment. Must be quality driven with attention to detail being paramount in everything achieved.
What we offer in return:
Dependant on skills and experience, this role offers an annual salary of up to Β£50k per annum dependant on experience 33 days holiday (inclusive of annual, bank/public days).
