The Resident Engagement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering an exceptional resident experience across our properties. This includes supporting customer service programmes, experiential initiatives such as the Resident Ambassador Programme, and sustainability projects. Acting as an ambassador for residents, the role ensures our service philosophy CARE (Connect, Act, Respect, Encourage) is embedded throughout the resident journey, while promoting community, inclusion, and social impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Champion the needs and expectations of students and young people, ensuring these inform the Resident Experience strategy.
- Advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all engagement activities.
- Routinely capture and share insights on the lived experience of residents to inform central strategies and decision-making.
- Lead coordination of the Resident Ambassador Programme, including recruitment, training, engagement, and performance reporting.
- Work closely with Community Engagement Administrators, engage regularly with Resident Ambassadors, responding to feedback and shaping programme improvements.
- Deliver informal and structured resident voice opportunities to strengthen engagement and community building.
- Curate inclusive and resilient student communities through events, initiatives, and participation opportunities (e.g., flat chats, community living agreements).
- Support central and property teams with targeted interventions to address engagement challenges.
- Work closely with Student Support and property teams to ensure alignment with the Support to Stay Framework for elevated care.
- Represent the business externally through presentations, workshops, and sector engagement (e.g., CUBO, AMOSSHE).
- Promote sustainability initiatives that reduce utility consumption and waste and encourage positive social impact.
- Support research and innovation projects that enhance resident experience and sustainability outcomes.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative feedback to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Report on national and regional engagement metrics for the Resident Ambassador Programme.
- Provide resilience across the wider Resident Experience and Student Support team by shadowing and supporting other roles when required.

- Strong understanding of the student journey and PBSA business cycle.
- Ability to inspire and communicate the vision and social value of the Resident Ambassador Programme.
- Proven experience in community engagement programme coordination, and stakeholder management.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and drive actionable improvements.
- Passion for sustainability and creating positive social impact.
- Excellent communication skills across multiple locations and organisational levels.
