The Regional Safety Advisor is a key operational role within our Health & Safety team, working directly with Cluster General Managers to ensure our properties always remain safe and compliant. Acting as the first point of safety support and practical guidance for operational teams, you will provide advice, coaching, and assurance across all aspects of health and safety.
When specialist expertise is required such as fire safety or security you will escalate to the Regional Safety Manager or engage with our dedicated specialist teams. This role is all about hands-on delivery, ensuring compliance activity happens when it should, and fostering a culture where safety is embedded in everyday operations.

This role ensures that operational teams have the confidence, knowledge, and support to maintain compliance and deliver safe environments protecting lives and enabling smooth operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work closely with Cluster General Managers to ensure all properties meet health and safety obligations and have the right level of competency through training.
- Monitor completion of risk assessments, fire risk assessments, and all other statutory checks.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities, including monitoring OCA actions and escalating where needed.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventative actions following audits or incidents.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, and training records and provide regular updates to the Regional Safety Manager.
- Provide practical advice and guidance on workplace safety, fire safety, and security.
- Escalate complex or specialist issues to the Regional Safety Manager or relevant specialist teams.
- Ensure residents can receive clear safety information and evacuation instructions and deliver health and safety training and refresher sessions for property teams.
- Support development and testing of property-level emergency plans.
- Support accident and incident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and root cause analysis.
- Work in partnership with Divisional Safety Manager, Fire Safety Team, and Security Team to ensure consistent standards.
- Liaise with Estates, Projects, and Development teams on safety requirements during refurbishments and mobilisations.
- Stay up to date with health and safety legislation and best practice considering how they can be practically applied and seamlessly integrated into the operation.
What We’re Looking for in You
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in health and safety within a multi-site operational environment.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, and detail oriented.
- Comfortable using digital compliance systems and MS Office.
