Unite People are recruiting for an experienced Temporary Works Supervisor to support the delivery of a major National Highways bridge maintenance scheme in the North East. Working for a leading civil engineering contractor, you will play a key role in coordinating and supervising temporary works throughout a complex live highway environment involving structural refurbishment and maintenance works.
Scope of Works
- Bridge refurbishment and structural maintenance
- Underslung drainage replacement beneath the bridge deck
- Concrete repairs and structural strengthening works
- Bridge deck waterproofing and resurfacing
- Expansion joint and bridge bearing replacement
- Access scaffolding and specialist temporary access systems
- Heavy lifting operations and temporary support arrangements
- Working alongside bridge, highways and specialist subcontractors
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise temporary works in accordance with BS 5975 and company procedures
- Ensure temporary works are installed, maintained and dismantled safely
- Coordinate with the Temporary Works Coordinator, Site Agent and Engineering team
- Monitor compliance with approved temporary works designs
- Carry out inspections and maintain temporary works records
