An experienced Freelance Site Engineer is required for a civil engineering project in Swaffham, Norfolk. Working for a reputable main contractor, you will be responsible for setting out and engineering support across a range of civil engineering works including enabling works, drainage, reinforced concrete floor slabs and reinforced concrete structures. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in general civils and RC construction who can work independently and ensure works are delivered accurately, safely and to programme.
Scope of Works
- Setting out and surveying for civil engineering works
- Enabling works and site preparation
- Drainage installation
- Reinforced concrete floor slabs
- Reinforced concrete structures
- Quality assurance and inspection of works
- As-built surveys and records
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors and design teams
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specifications and drawings
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Strong setting out experience using robotic total station equipment
- Experience with drainage and reinforced concrete works
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Competent with QA documentation and as-built records
- CSCS Card (essential)
- SMSTS/SSSTS advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
