An established civil engineering subcontractor is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support HSEQ across a strong pipeline of infrastructure, drainage, groundworks, earthworks and demolition projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of site safety while working within a supportive and growing business.
The Role
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and Engineers to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with company standards.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and safety tours.
- Prepare and review RAMS / risk assessments.
- Support behavioural safety and promote best practice on site.
- Conduct accident & incident investigation and reporting.
- Support ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 compliance and audits.
- Assist with inductions, toolbox talks and training delivery.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations.
- Provide day-to-day H&S support across civils packages (drainage, highways, structures, groundworks).
What We're Looking For
- Previous H&S experience within civil engineering or construction.
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards).
- Good working knowledge of CDM, RAMS and site safety procedures.
- Confident communicator with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Organised, self-driven and able to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence - multi-site role.
