Vacancy: Freelance Site Manager (Weekends)
Location: Sheffield
Unite People are working alongside a specialist construction contractor to hire a Site Manager to cover weekend shifts, focusing on managing trades and subcontractors on refurbishment of an existing building.
Scope of works includes rendering, cladding, masonry repointing and facade repairs. Weekend working is essential for this role in order to stay on programme - Weekend shifts will be a maximum of eight hours but much more likely shorter days.
The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing works carried out by trades staff and sub-contractors safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. You will ideally have experience of building refurbishment; facades and public sector buildings would be a bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the cladding replacement, external masonry repair and repointing of an existing building.
- Use snagging software to record defects, quality issues and progress.
- Maintain high health & safety standards throughout.
- Attend meetings with Site and Project management to discuss programme and progress.
- Making sure the project is finished to client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications & Training:
- CSCS Black Card
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Working at Heights Cert (Can be obtained by sitting an online course)
- Strong package management experience
- Excellent quality control
- Strong People Management experience
- Strong people skills
