Unite People are working with a specialist, regional construction contractor to hire a Site Engineer, focusing on setting out and technical aspects of civils and groundworks projects. You will be working with a local, tight-knit team on small but interesting schemes valued around £100k - £500k, as part of an experienced management team who pride themselves on customer satisfaction and repeat business.
The ideal Site Engineer will be able to demonstrate experience of setting out the civils elements of construction projects, including drainage, section 278 works, kerbing, ducting, paving and landscaping with a build, civils or construction contractor. You will have a proven history of both hands-on setting-out experience, as well as providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:- Setting-Out of all construction elements of a project; including foundations, groundworks, roads, 278 works and externals.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is being carried out to the highest quality standards.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures on-site.
- Collaborate with the project team to resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
- CSCS
- Bachelor's degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
