Unite People are currently recruiting for a permanent Site Agent on behalf of our Tier 1 civil engineering client, Initially working on a high profile highways scheme in the North of England.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site team, managing all on-site construction activities while ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring the project stays on track with the established schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor to meet project milestones.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications, promptly addressing any deviations or issues.
  • Assist in preparing method statements and risk assessments, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, productivity, costs, and any potential risks or issues that may impact the project.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role,
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health & safety regulations.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction (HNC/HND, NVQ, or a degree in construction/civil engineering is preferred).
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to deliver construction projects on time and within budget.

Pay range:

£60,000 – £65,000 + Package
