We are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure and groundworks schemes across Yorkshire. The business specialises in the delivery of commercial groundworks, residential infrastructure, roads, sewers and associated civil engineering works, supporting major housing developers across the region. The company is currently experiencing significant growth, with a strong pipeline of secured work, and can offer excellent long-term career progression opportunities as the business continues to expand.
The Role
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of several projects simultaneously, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. You will provide leadership to site teams while working closely with commercial and operational departments to drive performance across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing multiple civil engineering projects across the region
- Managing Site Managers and operational site teams
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
- Reviewing programmes and monitoring project progress
- Liaising with clients, consultants and internal departments
- Supporting commercial teams with project performance and reporting
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality across sites
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager role
- Background within civil engineering or residential infrastructure
- Experience delivering roads, sewers and infrastructure schemes
- Strong leadership and programme management skills
