CSA Construction Manager – Data Centres Location: UK – site based Salary / Rate: [Insert details] Job type: [Permanent / Contract] Unite People are recruiting an experienced Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) Construction Manager to join a construction consultancy supporting the delivery of major UK data centre developments. Working within the client-side delivery team, you will oversee the main contractor and specialist subcontractors, ensuring CSA works progress safely, to programme and to the required quality standards. This role would suit a strong construction professional from a consultancy or main contractor background who can challenge contractor performance, resolve technical interfaces and keep construction activities moving. Key responsibilities: * Oversee civil, structural and architectural works, including foundations, steelwork, concrete, roofing, cladding and building envelope packages. * Monitor contractor progress, resources and productivity, identifying risks and challenging recovery plans where required. * Coordinate CSA interfaces with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection works. * Review construction drawings, technical submissions, shop drawings and construction sequencing proposals. * Track procurement and material deliveries against key programme milestones. * Carry out quality inspections and monitor defects, non-conformances and remedial works. * Ensure work areas and building envelopes are ready for equipment installation and commissioning. * Provide clear reporting on progress, quality, risks and handover readiness. Requirements: * Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction delivery or management, including significant CSA experience. * Background delivering major data centre, industrial, infrastructure or similarly complex projects. * Strong technical knowledge of structural works, civil infrastructure and building envelope systems. * Experience managing or overseeing main contractors and specialist subcontractors. * Good understanding of construction sequencing, quality assurance and building services interfaces. * Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant construction or engineering discipline. * Confident communication skills and the ability to challenge performance constructively. Previous data centre experience and client-side or consultancy experience are desirable. Candidates from a strong main contractor background are also encouraged to apply.
