A leading main civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of a long-term highways framework across the Liverpool area. This is a permanent position offering stable, local work on complex highways schemes, with increased technical ownership and progression into more senior delivery roles.
The Role
- Working closely with the Site Manager and General Foreman, you will take responsibility for the engineering delivery of highways projects typically valued between £5m – £50m, including:
- Leading setting out and technical delivery on site
- Overseeing junior engineers and providing technical support
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings and specifications
- Managing QA, ITPs and as-built records
- Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Supporting short-term planning and programme delivery
Project Scope
- Highways & infrastructure works
- Drainage (deep & shallow)
- Kerbing, surfacing & reinstatement
- Live carriageway environments
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Site Engineer or experienced Site Engineer ready to step up
- Strong highways background with hands-on setting out experience
- Confident managing technical aspects of drainage, kerbing & surfacing works
- Comfortable working within live traffic environments
Tickets / qualifications:
- CSCS
- SMSTS – desirable
- First Aid – desirable
