A well-established and growing civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Site Engineer to support delivery across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure schemes in West Yorkshire. This is a strong opportunity to join a business with a secured pipeline of work across highways, water, Environment Agency and public realm projects—offering long-term stability, varied exposure, and clear progression routes.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering schemes, working closely with the Site Agent and project team to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. Key duties will include:
- Setting out for roads, highways, drainage and associated infrastructure
- QA, ITPs and as-built records
- Managing subcontractors and site coordination
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained
- Interpreting technical drawings and resolving site issues
- Supporting programme delivery and reporting progress
About You
- Experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering
- Strong background in roads, highways, infrastructure or water projects
- Competent with setting out equipment (GPS/Total Station)
- Good understanding of QA processes and site documentation
- CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS/SSSTS (desirable but not essential)
