We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a road infrastructure project in the Hull area.
Working for an established civil engineering contractor, you will support the delivery of a highways scheme incorporating earthworks, drainage and associated road construction works.
This is a site-based position suited to an engineer with a strong civil engineering background who is comfortable taking responsibility for setting out, QA and technical delivery on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying works across the project.
- Setting out for earthworks, drainage, kerbing and associated road construction works.
- Managing QA documentation, ITPs and as-built records.
- Carrying out level surveys and producing accurate site records.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Monitoring quality standards and supporting the safe delivery of works.
- Identifying and resolving technical or setting-out issues on site.
- Supporting the planning and coordination of daily site activities.
