Site Engineer – Highways / Structures – Greater Manchester – Permanent Location: Greater Manchester Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum + package (DOE) About the Role: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major highways and structures project in the Greater Manchester area. This is a permanent opportunity to join a well-established team delivering essential infrastructure improvements in the region. You will play a key role in the day-to-day site engineering activities, supporting the Site Manager and Project Manager in delivering works to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: * Setting out and surveying for highways and structural works (e.g. bridge decks, retaining walls, culverts, etc.) * Interpreting drawings and specifications for site implementation * Managing and coordinating sub-contractors and suppliers on-site * Maintaining site records, ITPs, and quality control procedures * Supporting the development of RAMS and ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards * Working closely with the design and planning teams to resolve technical queries * Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with programme and budget Requirements: * HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or similar * Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a Site Engineer role (preferably on highways or structures schemes) * Proficient in using surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD etc.) * Strong understanding of CDM, health and safety requirements * Full UK Driving Licence * CSCS Card (essential); SSSTS/SMSTS (desirable) What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience) * Company vehicle or car allowance * Pension scheme * Ongoing training and career progression * Opportunity to work on long-term infrastructure frameworks in the North West
