General Foreman – Civil Engineering – Yorkshire – Permanent 📍 Location: Hull (initial project, Yorkshire-based opportunities thereafter) 💼 Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time 💷 Salary: Up to £60,000 + Vehicle/Allowance + Benefits A long-term opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Foreman to join a leading civil engineering contractor. The first assignment will be a major structural repair project in the Humberside area, with further schemes across the Yorkshire region within highways & infrastructure, public realm, water, flood alleviation etc. to follow. Role: As General Foreman, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of site works. Duties will include: * Supervising site teams and subcontractors on daily operations * Driving productivity to meet programme targets * Ensuring works are completed to H&S, quality, and environmental standards * Supporting project leadership with planning and sequencing * Conducting inductions, toolbox talks, and inspections * Maintaining accurate records and reporting site progress Requirements: * Proven experience as a Foreman/General Foreman on civil engineering projects * Strong knowledge of structures, concrete repairs, and/or bridge works (preferred) * Excellent leadership and communication skills * SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential) What’s on Offer: * Salary up to £60,000 DOE * Vehicle/Allowance + Benefits * Long-term security of work, with the contractor holding places on multiple civil engineering frameworks within Yorkshire * Career progression opportunities with a strong regional pipeline
