We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Permit Issuer to support delivery on a major industrial construction project in Deeside. This is a long-term freelance opportunity working within a large commissioning and electrical delivery team on a high-value, technically complex development. The role will focus on electrical safety procedures, permit control and ensuring all required documentation, testing and QA processes are completed correctly prior to works and energisation activities taking place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and issuing permits for electrical works activities
  • Checking RAMS, isolation procedures and safe systems of work
  • Verifying completion documentation for panels, cabling and associated electrical installations
  • Reviewing dead testing and electrical QA documentation prior to energisation
  • Coordinating closely with commissioning teams, electrical subcontractors and site management
  • Ensuring all works comply with project safety and commissioning procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records and permit documentation
  • Supporting the wider commissioning and electrical coordination team

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within electrical commissioning, permit control, QA/QC or electrical coordination roles
  • Strong understanding of LV electrical systems, installations and safe isolation procedures
  • Experience reviewing electrical documentation, testing records and RAMS
  • Knowledge of commissioning and energisation processes on major projects
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • ECS / CSCS preferred
