Freelance Site Engineer 📍 Doncaster 💼 Freelance (Ltd or CIS) 📅 Long-term Contract 💷 Competitive Day Rate We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a highways infrastructure project in the Doncaster area. Working for a well-established civil engineering contractor, you will play a key role in the delivery of a highways drainage package, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy project with a strong pipeline of work. Key Responsibilities * Setting out for drainage works including pipes, chambers, gullies and associated infrastructure. * Carrying out surveys and producing accurate as-built records. * Managing QA documentation including ITPs, check sheets and inspection records. * Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements. * Liaising with the Site Manager, Subcontractors and Client representatives. * Monitoring quality standards and resolving any engineering issues on site. * Supporting daily planning and coordinating site activities. * Promoting safe working practices and ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures. Requirements * Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on highways or civil engineering projects. * Strong background delivering drainage packages. * Competent using Leica, Trimble or Topcon surveying equipment. * Experience producing QA documentation and as-built information. * Good understanding of highways specifications and engineering standards. * CSCS Card (essential). * SMSTS or SSSTS and First Aid would be advantageous. * Full UK Driving Licence.
