We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a major commercial construction project in Didcot.
Working for a well-established main contractor, you'll play a key role in the delivery of a large-scale commercial development, supporting the site team throughout the construction programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-quality project with a long-term programme, offering 28 weeks of secured work.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out works using Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
- Carrying out surveying and site measurements to ensure works are delivered accurately.
- Managing QA documentation, inspection records and associated paperwork.
- Producing and maintaining accurate as-built information.
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
- Liaising with Site Managers, subcontractors and design teams to resolve technical queries.
- Monitoring quality standards and ensuring compliance throughout construction.
- Assisting with the coordination and sequencing of daily site activities.
- Supporting the safe and efficient delivery of the project.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on commercial building projects.
- Experience working for a main contractor is essential.
- Competent using Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
- Strong understanding of QA procedures and as-built documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
