Overview
A well-established civil engineering contractor operating across the North West is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Writer to support tender submissions across its full range of civil engineering workstreams. The business delivers projects across highways, public realm, water, utilities and general infrastructure for public-sector and framework clients. This is a permanent role offering long-term stability and the opportunity to play a key part in securing future workload.
The Role
- Working closely with Pre-Construction, Estimating and Senior Management teams, you will be responsible for producing high-quality written submissions for PQQs, ITTs and framework bids, including:
- Writing and coordinating tender responses for civil engineering projects
- Producing clear, compliant and well-structured written submissions
- Interpreting tender questions, scoring criteria and employer requirements
- Coordinating technical input from operational, commercial and HSEQ teams
- Managing bid content through to final submission and deadlines

About You
- Proven experience as a Bid Writer within civil engineering or construction
- Strong understanding of PQQ and ITT processes

- Comfortable managing multiple submissions to deadline

- Construction or civil engineering sector experience
- Strong written English and document presentation skills
- Familiarity with framework and public-sector tendering
