We are looking for an experienced, digitally focused Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture of our digital ecosystem, integrating cutting-edge user experience design, best-in-class SaaS and in-house services, and innovative integration strategies. Reporting to our Senior Engineering Lead this delivery focused, high-impact role blends strategic thinking, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of digital customer experiences. What You ` ll Be Doing Own the end-to-end architecture for our Digital Products, for example our Customer Website, Student App, and Integration Platform – ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for students and colleagues. Shape digital strategies by introducing and scaling technologies like mobile-first design, cloud-native services, low-code/no-code platforms, API-first development, AI, and automation. Champion integration excellence , ensuring our digital front-end products connect intuitively to core operational systems (property management, finance, CRM, etc.) via APIs, event streams, and service-oriented designs. Lead technical design efforts across projects and features, making pragmatic architecture decisions that prioritise customer value, speed to market, scalability, and maintainability. Partner with Product Managers, Delivery Leads, and Engineering Teams to drive product roadmaps, ensuring architectural considerations are embedded early and deliver real-world outcomes. Set and promote architecture standards for our digital estate, supporting compliance with security, regulatory, and service management requirements. Influence vendor and technology selections through structured evaluation processes (RFI/RFP), workshops, and technical due diligence. Collaborate with internal teams and delivery partners, ensuring alignment with our digital architecture vision. Stay ahead of emerging digital trends and proactively recommend how they can strengthen our product offering and student experience. What We ` re Looking for in You Proven experience delivering modern, customer-facing digital solutions (websites, apps, integrations) within cloud-based ecosystems (Salesforce, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.). Passionate about digital experience and product thinking , with a focus on usability, performance, security, and ongoing evolution. Expertise in integration architecture – strong knowledge of API-led connectivity, event-driven architectures, service oriented architectures, and iPaaS tools (SnapLogic, MS PowerPlatform, etc.). Hands-on experience in low-code/no-code platforms, mobile application architecture, and process automation tools. Able to translate complex user and business needs into simple, elegant technical solutions. Comfortable working in Agile/Lean product delivery environments , with a clear understanding of architectural governance and technical debt management. Commercially minded and pragmatic , with a balance of innovation and practical delivery. Clear communication skills , able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desirable: Degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Certified Architect, Salesforce Architect credentials.
