As an Operations Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operational delivery across a cluster of student accommodation properties. Working closely with the Cluster Operations Manager and operational teams, you will coordinate activities across maintenance, housekeeping and resident services, ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently and with minimal disruption to residents. This is a fast-paced, detail-focused role where you’ll be at the heart of operations, managing schedules, coordinating tasks and supporting teams to deliver a consistently high standard of service.

Your impact

Whilst no two days are the same at Unite Students, here’s a flavour of what you’ll be responsible for in this role:

  • Coordinate operational schedules across the cluster, including maintenance, cleaning, inspections and planned works
  • Manage operational task queues and systems, ensuring work is allocated, tracked and completed efficiently
  • Support contractor coordination, organising jobs and communicating with residents about upcoming works
  • Monitor operational systems (including CRM platforms), ensuring visibility and progress across all tasks
  • Support housekeeping and maintenance teams with planning and workload management
  • Provide financial and administrative support, including purchase orders, tracking spend and supporting cost control
  • Coordinate communications to residents, ensuring they are informed of inspections, works and operational updates
  • Support health, safety and compliance processes, ensuring activities align with company standards
  • Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery
  • Work collaboratively across teams, helping ensure smooth and consistent operations across all properties

Your background

You don’t need to follow a traditional path – what matters most is your ability to stay organised, communicate clearly and keep operations running smoothly. To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Bring experience in an administrative or operational coordination role, ideally within property, hospitality, facilities management or a similar service-led environment.
  • Have strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Be confident working with systems and data, including CRM or operational platforms.
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to work effectively with internal teams, contractors and residents.
  • Have a proactive, solutions-focused approach and enjoy problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
