A wellâknown Consumer business who have experienced impressive growth this year, are currently recruiting for a Technical Accounting Finance Manager, who will be a key player within the high performing finance function.
Key Responsibilities for the Technical Accounting Manager:
- Provide technical accounting guidance: Act as the primary advisor on all IFRS and UK GAAP technical accounting issues for the business. Act as key contact for external audit over technical areas.
- Take ownership of accounting for significant, oneâoff, and nonâroutine transactions. Prepare technical accounting papers and memorandums to document positions and conclusions for circulation both internally and to external auditors.
- Responsible for researching, interpreting, and applying new and existing standards to business operations, ensuring compliance and accuracy with IFRS and FRS 102. This involves assessing their impact, developing an implementation plan, and communicating changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain Group accounting policies: Be responsible for drafting and updating the company's accounting policies to reflect changes in accounting standards and business activities.
- Work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager by playing an important role in the preparation and review of the company's interim and annual financial statements. This includes drafting key disclosures and ensuring they are accurate, complete, and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
