Key Responsibilities for the successful Commercial Finance Manager

  • Partner closely with senior commercial leaders and executive stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide financial insight and challenge to drive revenue growth, margin optimisation, and cost efficiency.
  • Translate financial performance into clear commercial actions for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships across sales, marketing, operations, and product teams.
  • Lead financial analysis on trading performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver regular commercial performance reporting, including revenue, margin, pricing, and promotional analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support commercial initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure forecasts reflect the latest market and commercial insights.

  • Skills, Experience & Qualifications of the successful Commercial Finance Manager:
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience within consumer sectors would be advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial insights.
