Meet Unit4. With over 40 years of heritage, we’re an agile, fast growing, Cloud company that is on a mission to redefine Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for mid-market people-centric organisations. With our innovative, self-driving, adaptive and intuitive software, our customers can spend more time on meaningful high-value work. At the heart of what we do lies a simple yet profound purpose: Improve how people work by focusing on what truly matters.

Unit4 builds software for mid-market organizations that serve others: in government, education, nonprofits, and professional services. We are investing in our next generation of products, and we are looking for an exceptional product leader to lead the team and own the portfolio that brings them to market. You own new products end to end: what gets built, who buys it, what it costs, and whether it succeeds in the market. You set the direction, lead the product managers who run each build, shape pricing and go-to-market, and stay accountable for the commercial results.

What you will do:

  • Own the portfolio of new product bets: choose what the team takes on, sequence the work, and decide what advances and what stops.
  • Hire, lead, and grow the product managers, set the standard for the craft, and own the team’s performance and development.
  • Set the direction for what gets built, drawing on customers, the market, and the team’s discovery, and join the customer moments that matter most.
  • Own the commercial outcomes of the portfolio: pricing, packaging, go-to-market, and the win-rate and growth that follow.
  • Hold the team accountable for outcomes across the portfolio: adoption, usage, and customer impact, not just shipping.
  • Secure the development capacity and hold the delivery standard across the portfolio.
  • Operate with executive-level trust and autonomy, own the program’s direction, and represent it to senior leadership.
  • Build strong partnerships across product, engineering, sales, and customer success.

Qualifications:

  • Direct experience building products in one of our domains: accounting or financial management software, FP&A and planning software, HR or recruiting solutions, or project and professional services management.
  • You have shipped products used in these domains, not just advised on them.
  • A strong adjacent back-office background counts if the depth is real.
  • You have mastered the full product lifecycle and have led and grown product managers doing it.
  • You set the standard, coach the team, and raise the bar.
  • Deep fluency in how mid-market services organizations run their back office, and a clear grasp of what makes ERP genuinely different from generic SaaS.
  • Commercial ownership. You understand how product decisions drive ARR, win rate, and retention, and you can own pricing and the commercial case.
  • A bias to ship and a love of seeing real products in customers’ hands.

What will set you apart:

  • A serious AI practitioner in your own right. You work AI-first and push the tooling hard, and you have a point of view on how AI is reshaping the way our customers work and the products they will need.
  • Executive presence that can command a room, whether presenting to leadership or running a collaborative working session with customers.
  • The ability to bring people with you across functions through clarity and momentum rather than authority.

Why this role matters:

Our customers do work that matters, often with limited resources and high expectations. The products you create will give the people in these organizations better tools to do that work, and free them to spend more of their time on the people they serve. That is the impact behind every product you ship, and it is why this role matters.

We are a people-first community that nurtures all the areas that surround your working experience. With us, you’ll be surrounded by a high-performance team that supports your authentic self and celebrates your uniqueness. We believe that ‘How work should feel’ is an evolving statement.
