Job Purpose
We are looking for a Global FP&A Manager to act as the senior finance partner for our Customer Success (CS) organisation. In this role, you will drive strong financial governance, insight, and commercial discipline across our global CS project portfolio. You will own project financial performance reporting, partner closely with CS leadership, Delivery, PMO, and FP&A, and ensure high‑quality, compliant, and decision‑ready financial insight to support sustainable margin performance and operational outcomes. You will sit within the finance team, reporting to the VP, FP&A, while operating as an embedded finance partner to Customer Success and working closely with FP&A colleagues and wider finance teams.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership of the Global CS Portfolio: You will own project‑level financial governance and performance reporting across the global Customer Success portfolio. You will ensure accurate and consistent project accounting, including revenue and cost matching, accruals, WIP, unbilled revenue, and aged debt. You will deliver timely month‑end close outputs with clear insight, variance analysis, and forward‑looking commentary. You will maintain financial integrity and compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and governance frameworks.
- Business Partnering & Commercial Insight: You will act as the senior finance partner to CS leadership, Delivery Directors, PMO, and Project Managers. You will confidently and constructively challenge delivery assumptions, commercial constructs, margin expectations, and project plans. You will translate financial data into actionable insight to support improved margin performance and delivery outcomes. You will support decision‑making across the full project lifecycle, from initiation through delivery and close.
- Forecasting & Planning: You will coordinate global CS forecasting cycles, maintaining robust forecast records and assumptions. You will support scenario modelling to inform operational, resourcing, and commercial decisions. You will provide insight to support longer‑term Professional Services and Customer Success planning.
- Commercial & Delivery Governance: You will partner closely with PMO to maintain strong project governance, including scope control, change management, and commercial terms. You will support billing accuracy and timeliness in collaboration with Billing, Revenue Recognition, and Delivery teams. You will proactively identify financial risks and opportunities across the project lifecycle and recommend corrective actions.
- Audit, Compliance & Financial Controls: You will support Customer Success‑related internal and external audit activities. You will maintain strong controls across project data, revenue recognition, and reporting processes in partnership with Group Accounting and Delivery teams. You will ensure project financial processes are consistent, well‑documented, and audit‑ready.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: You will work closely with FP&A, Group Accounting, Billing & AR, PMO, Delivery Management, Resource Management, and Deal Desk teams. You will coordinate with finance support colleagues to ensure efficient and scalable CS financial operations. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Director, CS Financial Strategy & Operations to align project‑level reporting with CS‑wide strategy, planning, and performance rhythms.
Qualifications Experience Requirements
Essential: You demonstrate strong expertise in Professional Services project accounting, ideally across global or multi‑region environments. You bring sound financial and commercial judgement across fixed‑price and time‑and‑materials delivery models. You are an effective senior finance business partner, able to influence stakeholders and challenge assumptions with confidence. You have advanced financial analysis and modelling capability, with strong Excel skills. You are comfortable operating in fast‑paced, international, and matrixed environments.
Desirable: Experience in consulting, SaaS, or global delivery organisations. Practical exposure to IFRS 15 in a services or software context. Experience partnering closely with PMO, Delivery, or Customer Success teams.
Required Tools / Technology: Advanced Excel, ERP systems (Unit4 or similar), FP&A and planning tools, BI / insight tools (e.g. Power BI).
Required Skills (SaaS): Project accounting expertise, strong commercial and analytical judgement, financial modelling and scenario analysis, margin performance and services economics understanding, governance, controls, and risk‑aware mindset.
Education Requirements: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
