We are looking for a skilled SharePoint Intranet Content Specialist to join our team on a fixed‑term contract to support our SharePoint intranet environment, enhance user experience, and ensure efficient content management. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and optimizing SharePoint intranet content to improve collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to review and enhance site structures and ensure content accuracy, along with suggesting any modifications or enhancements needed on the site.
Your accountabilities/responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and improving existing SharePoint intranet sites, libraries, and content structures.
- Working with relevant stakeholders to oversee the creation, development and review of additional content required to ensure the SharePoint intranet is relevant and consistent.
- Devising best practices and guides for document management and site governance, and working with stakeholders to implement and embed these practices.
- Training and supporting users in content management and SharePoint functionalities.
- Monitoring and analyzing SharePoint usage to improve efficiency and engagement.
- Troubleshooting issues and collaborating with IT teams for enhancements.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, security standards, and data governance.
Required skills:
- Experience working in a fast‑paced corporate or enterprise environment.
- Ability to analyze and optimize content for better usability and accessibility.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in the field of Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Communications, Library and Information Science, Digital Media or a related field. Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree also considered.
- Proven experience in SharePoint content management (SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint 2016/2019).
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, libraries, workflows, and metadata.
- Experience in user training and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of document management best practices and governance policies.
- Experience with Power Automate is helpful.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or SharePoint Framework (SPFx) is helpful.
