UNIT Studios is London’s largest independently owned and multiple award winning creative studio. Specialising in advertising and episodic HETV post production and visual effects, we have worked alongside some of the most recognisable names in the industry.
UNIT Studios London is looking to hire a new candidate to fill a newly created position of Pipeline TD in our thriving Commercials department. We are looking to build a new pipeline around USD, Houdini and Maya, from the ground up, so the position comes with no technical debt or legacy systems to manage. Candidates should be proficient in Houdini, Maya and a working knowledge of Nuke and Flame would be helpful. This is a full time, permanent position.
Qualifications- Work with heads of department to define and then roll out a roadmap, building a VFX pipeline from the ground up.
- Integrate off-the-shelf tools for shot and farm management, but also writing custom code to create a bespoke setup.
- Create novel tools that automate as much as possible across the pipeline.
- Identify bottlenecks in production, troubleshoot and support the artists in creating content quickly and efficiently.
- Understanding of how different departments operate and of their individual requirements.
- Ability to be hands-on in production, be it in lighting, rigging or Houdini simulation work is a bonus, but not essential.
- Work both remotely and on-site when necessary.
- A valid VISA to work in the UK.
