Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to focus exclusively on growing the Hire Division of the business. This is a true new business role suited to someone who thrives on winning accounts, opening doors, and building long-term commercial relationships.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager responsible for generating new hire business opportunities across targeted sectors including:
- Hire Companies
The successful candidate will focus on:
- Securing completely new customers
- Re‑engaging dormant accounts that have not traded with the business in the last 2–3 years
- Developing long‑term hire revenue opportunities
- Building a strong pipeline through proactive business development activity
This role is focused on hire growth through new account acquisition, rather than existing customer management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and win new business opportunities within target sectors
- Re‑engage inactive & lapsed customer accounts
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, site visits, referrals, and market research
- Build and maintain a strong working hire pipeline
- Arrange and attend customer meetings across your territory
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable hire solutions
- Prepare quotations/contracts and negotiate long‑term agreements
- Work closely with the HIRE team to ensure a smooth working environment
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual hire targets
- Maintain accurate CRM reporting
