What success looks like in this role
The IT/Network Field Engineer is responsible for supporting the installation, relocation, and decommissioning of IT and network equipment across customer and company sites.
The role focuses on physical infrastructure deployment, workspace setup, asset handling, and ensuring sites are prepared and operational in line with business requirements.
This role covers the Midlands & Surrounding Areas.
Key Responsibilities

- Install and remove IT and network equipment at customer and office locations.
- Set up desks, workstations, monitors, peripherals, and associated cabling.
- Support office moves, site openings, closures, and equipment refresh programmes.
- Perform equipment decommissioning, asset recovery, and secure disposal processes.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare locations for IT equipment installations.
- Maintain accurate asset, inventory, and deployment records.
- Coordinate with suppliers, facilities teams, and technical support teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Follow health and safety procedures and maintain professional standards when working on customer premises.
- Provide basic post-installation checks and handover support to end users.
