Role Overview: We’re looking for a hands-on Data Centre Engineer to support and maintain Dell hardware at a client site. This role involves hardware diagnostics, part replacements, firmware upgrades, and inventory management, ensuring systems remain operational and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair Dell server hardware.
- Replace or reseat components as needed.
- Run diagnostics and upload logs for validation.
- Perform firmware upgrades.
- Manage onsite parts inventory (inbound/outbound).
- Document service activity and part replacements.
- Coordinate with Unisys and client teams for escalations and scheduling.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Experience with server hardware support, ideally Dell PowerEdge XE9680.
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently on-site.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
