At Bulb Interiors, we don’t just build spaces—we engineer them. We are specialists in commercial workplace design, technical refurbishment, and laboratory fit-outs. Combining cutting‑edge design with deep technical expertise, we deliver inspiring office environments and highly complex, regulated laboratory and R&D facilities. Our clients trust us to manage the intricate crossover between beautiful aesthetics and complex engineering. We take pride in our precision, our collaborative culture, and our commitment to delivery.

As MEP Site Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of all mechanical, electrical, public health (PH), and building management systems (BMS) on our project sites. You will serve as the critical bridge between design, subcontractors, and physical installation, ensuring that technically complex MEP services are installed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires an individual who is as comfortable coordinating complex commissioning sequences as they are leading safety briefings on the live site floor.

What you’re responsible for:

  • Trade Coordination: Manage and coordinate on-site MEP subcontractors to ensure smooth installation sequences and resolve any spatial or technical clashes.
  • Drawing Verification: Interrogate technical layouts and schematic drawings early to ensure engineering specifications match physical site conditions.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous site inspections to ensure all installations meet approved designs and high-quality QA/QC standards.
  • Commissioning & Handover: Oversee complete testing, validation, and commissioning processes for MEP and BMS systems to guarantee successful client handovers.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict site health and safety compliance, including CDM regulations and subcontractor RAMS reviews.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage day‑to‑day on‑site stakeholder communication and coordinate the collation of certifications and O&M close‑out documents.

Your experience and skills:

  • Proven MEP site management experience on CAT A/CAT B commercial fit‑outs, including hands‑on installation experience.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, public health (PH) and BMS systems.
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold) and First Aid qualifications required.
  • Previous experience delivering laboratory refurbishment projects within live, pharmaceutical or life sciences environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of driving trade performance.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate complex technical drawings across multiple trades.
  • Strong planning, quality‑focused attitude, and natural problem‑solving skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
