- West Midlands regionUNISON is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and resourceful individual to join our regional office team. This permanent post is post funded via the union's Branch Support and Organising Fund (BSOF) and initially it will be working in our Schools Team on a schools' organising project across the West Midlands.

However, this project is time limited and once the project is completed the post will be allocated to a new project.

This project may not be in schools but will be across the West Midlands. You will work closely with the branch and activists to build recruitment and organising initiativessupport casework, develop and train workplace representativessupport branch communications and campaigns. While previous experience as a caseworker or organiser within a trade union, political or community organisation is desirable, transferrable skills are also welcomed.

Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of our union's values and objectives. The West Midlands Region aims to represent and reflect the entire public sector in the West Midlands, we support and encourage applications from underrepresented groups, including those from Black, Asian and non-white backgrounds.

You will need to be able to travel in and around workplaces across the West Midlands as required, as well as to our Birmingham regional office where our organisers are based, and occasionally to London for training, meetings, or other purposes.
