We're looking for an enthusiastic self‐starter who is aiming to develop their career in a professional communications environment. You'll have excellent communications skills – written and verbal – and an aptitude for picking up systems and digital tools to produce great online or print communications. You'll have some professional comms experience but an appetite to develop your career further.
Location: UNISON Centre, Euston, London. Starting salary £36,820 per annum plus £7,170 London Weighting Allowance per annum. Closing date: 22 June 2026. Hours: 35. Contract type: Full time, permanent. Reference: CCP/60.

You'll be joining a communications unit that includes digital communication experts, writers, designers, filmmakers, media officers and campaign planners who work together to engage with UNISON's members, develop powerful campaigns and recruit new members. Your role will be to provide professional support to a range of processes which make this work happen. It's a varied role – you could be writing for our websites, email or leaflets, or using professional templates to layout or make amendments to printed or digital publications. You might be tagging stories or photos for our website or internal asset library, or keeping track of a publication from edits, through design, to print and delivery.
This role will give the postholder an excellent grounding in all aspects of delivering modern integrated digital and print publications and campaigns, and could be the launch pad for your career in communications.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in the UNISON Centre for 50% of the contracted hours.
