The Challenge

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Accounts Manager to join our team, focusing on the wholesale / retail development. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth, building strong relationships with key accounts, new acquisitions and ensuring the successful execution of our business strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing national accounts, a deep understanding of the food wholesale & retail market, and established relationships within the R2M channel. The candidate will be part of the sales leadership team and has the ability to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with national key accounts.
  • Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities and maximizing existing account potential.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, and finance) to deliver tailored solutions for key accounts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Work closely with the demand planners and trade marketeers to provide regular sales forecasts.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a National Accounts Manager or similar role, within the R2M, FMCG sector.
  • Strong understanding of the UK wholesale market and established relationships with the key players.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
