Uniserve is a leading provider of innovative supply chain solutions, delivering excellence across global logistics. We are seeking a Night Transport Supervisor to be responsible for the effective control, coordination, and execution of all night transport operations from the Northampton depot.
The role ensures that all planned movements are completed safely, legally, and on time, while maintaining clear communication with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders throughout the night shift.
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 19:00 until 7:00
Transport Operations:
- Manage night trunking and delivery operations to meet service levels
- Act as first point of contact for night drivers, providing clear instructions and support
- Escalate performance, conduct, or compliance issues when required
- Ensure operations follow company policies, site rules, and legal requirements
- Maintain accurate night-shift records and produce clear handover notes
Experience:
- Experience in transport or logistics control, ideally trunking or multi-drop
- CPC qualification (Transport Management or similar)
- Knowledge of Northampton or regional transport networks
- Strong understanding of drivers’ hours and transport compliance
- Calm, decisive, and effective in a fast-paced night operation
- Confident using TMS, transport systems, and Microsoft Office
- Flexible and reliable for night shifts on a 4 on / 4 off rota
