We are now seeking a Supply Chain Data Analyst to support this journey and help shape the future of data-driven decision-making across our warehouse and transport operations. This role is central to our Digital & Data Strategy, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and visibility of the systems and data that keep goods moving and customers satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the adoption and migration process from manual based reporting to automated reports via the Fabric/PowerBI toolset.
- Support and maintain Power BI reporting (both Paginated and Interactive) and ETL processes that underpin them.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Oversee and support documentation for new processes, including user manuals and process flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve any technical issues.
- Facilitate the integration of new data sources into Fabric Delta Lakes.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to increase data literacy across the team(s).
- Develop strategies to enhance user engagement.
- Support the development of Spark/SQL Queries to help transform or extract data.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to users for effective data warehouse utilisation.
- Analyse and report on data warehouse usage and suggest improvements.
- Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports for various business needs.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data visualisation requirements.
- Provide training and support to users on self-serve data sets and utilising PowerBI.
- Identify opportunities for automation in preexisting reporting processes.
- Develop and automate robust, scalable reports and models.
Skills and Experience
- Own the definition and meaning of warehouse and transport data, ensuring consistent use across the business.
- Define KPIs, metrics, and business rules in partnership with stakeholders.
- Translate vague or conflicting business requirements into clear, agreed definitions and standards.
- Run workshops and structured stakeholder sessions to gather requirements and drive alignment.
- Produce reusable analytical artefacts such as KPI definitions, specifications, source-to-target mappings, and standards documentation.
- Write specifications, acceptance criteria, and validation or reconciliation logic.
- Defend and validate KPIs and definitions using evidence, logic, and data.
- Build and maintain Power BI reports aligned to a standardised core reporting suite.
- Develop and contribute DAX measures, semantic models, and governed datasets.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop (DAX, data modelling, Power Query).
- Understanding of fact vs dimension tables, data grain, and relationships.
- Experience using Power BI Service, including publishing datasets, refresh behaviour, and awareness of row-level security (RLS).
- Ability to write and interpret SQL to support reporting, validation, and data reconciliation.
- Experience working with operational teams; logistics, warehouse, transport, or supply chain exposure is beneficial but not essential.
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders on-site to understand real operational processes.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g. PL-300 / DA-100) are desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience with Python, Spark, ETL, project delivery, automation, or AI concepts is advantageous but not required.
