We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Warehouse Administrator to join our team at the Felixstowe Mega Distribution Centre.
This role is critical in supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse by ensuring accurate stock management, order processing, customer communication, and system administration.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational accuracy while supporting both warehouse and transport functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process customer orders, stock movements, and inventory transactions through the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Complete all daily administrative tasks within required timescales and company service levels.
- Allocate, release, and monitor orders to ensure timely warehouse processing and dispatch.
- Liaise closely with Warehouse, Transport, and Customer Service teams to coordinate inbound and outbound operations.
- Schedule and route orders using the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries via email and telephone, providing timely updates and resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to stock, orders, deliveries, and inventory adjustments.
- Produce operational reports and update internal systems with accurate data.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and administrative processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- Previous experience in an administrative role within a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and computer-based inventory systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
