Key Duties
- Warehouse Planning
- Planning daily warehouse activities to ensure efficient receipt, storage & dispatch of customer stock.
- Organising of warehouse throughput to meet customer and operational requirements.
- Plan labour and resource allocation to maximize productivity and operational performance, including collaboration with external labour providers.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure restitution of containers in a timely manner.
- Monitor operational consumables stock holding & supplement where required.
- Understand company compliance with health and safety regulations, company procedures, and quality standards.
- Transport Co-Ordination
- Liaise with transport providers, delivery points and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor collection & delivery performance.
- Resolve transport related issues, delays, and customer service concerns.
- Hold monthly meetings with transport provider senior management to review performance & set targets for upcoming month.
- Communication and Reporting
- Act as a key point of contact between warehouse operations, transport providers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare operational reports & monitor against internal KPI’s.
- Analyse operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support management with planning, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
